Theatre:2003 -2005 Co-founder Cirque Idyllic collaboration between experimental theatre makers and aerial dance practitioners, based in the South West and sharing a passion for renewable energy powered production methods and grotesque/ burlesque styles of performance. Ongoing Fund-raising and administrative duties for Cirque Idyllic. Co wrote, performed in, and composed sound track and songs for "Cabaret at the End of the World" an interactive aerial theatre musical which the company continues to tour with, including the following events: 2003 Fusion Festival, Germany; Schlos Platz, Berlin; Big green Gathering, U.K; Lost Vagueness, London. Funding from Ground Swell and Network for Social Change. 2004 Fusion Festival, Germany; R.A.W, Berlin; Infant Festival of Alternative Theatre, Novi Sad, Serbia; Beautiful Days Festival, U.K.; Parcs en Fete Festival, Paris. Funding from Arts Council of England, South West. 2005 Glastonbury Festival, Midnights Carnival. Stockton International theatre festival. 2001 Co-writing, producing, directing and performing in Operation Alchemy, an anti-nuclear hip-hop musical. Large-scale outdoor multimedia production touring in England, Germany and Austria with anti uranium mining, pro clean energy message. This project involved people from six different countries, with diverse experience including teenagers from the traveling community. 2000 Directing, devising and performing with Earthdream Environmental Circus tour from Adelaide to Darwin, Australia. Performance protests at uranium mines in the desert, culminating in theatre for the Darwin festival, with Labrats solar sound system. 1996 - 1999 Cofounder Shelanagig women's environmental performance group, who toured through out Europe for three summer seasons. Radical performances in diverse situations including street theatre festivals, dance music festival, squats and protests. |
Sound:I am currently working on a self-produced solo album of my songs and tunes: including hybrids of drum and bass and vaudeville, activist hip-hop, cabaret style songs. 2003-2007 Composing and sound design for Cirque Idyllic and solo work. 2003- ongoing collaboration with guitarist and pianist Oliver Cumming. Performances and compositions. 2002-2005 Performing and helping crew with Rinky-dink peddle powered sound system, in Holland and the U.K. 2000 & 2002 Recorded and performed with Combat Wombat, Labrat's Solar Sound System, an Australian activist hip hop band and solar sound system. "Alchemical generation" released on their album and 12 inch record. |

Visual work:Drawn and distributed many comics, zines and pictures over the internet, copies available on request. I have build innumerable disposable trash sculptures, puppets and costumes for various events and performances over the years. Multimedia work mixing painting with digital images for projection during performance and events. |
Film:2007 "This Bloody Show" birth performance film. Sellected for screened at Milk Bar Film festival, Oakland, California. 2006 "Self Portrait" film sellected for group show in Bethlehem, Palestine, then touring to Italy and Argentina. 2005 Video art collaberation with Fillippo B. "Lost" screened in Barcelona (L'Antic teatre, T.D.N.) and U.K. (The Cube , Bristol.) Sellected for screened at Milk Bar Film festival, Oakland, California. 2002 Script editing, assistant direction and cameo role in "Too Deadly" a fictional feature film about uranium mining, protesters and aboriginal people, filmed in outback Australia. The film was produced in collaboration between Labrat's Wind Powered Cinema and members of the local aboriginal community. |
